PHYSIOTHERAPY AND MASSAGE - LEANDRA FRENCH Here at Uniq, our physio Leandra specialises in the complex workings of the many joints, muscles, ligaments, nerves etc of the body and in restoring mobility and function. Physiotherapists are qualified to treat a wide range of conditions and injuries ranging from chronic back pain to newly sprained ankles, recovery after operations to rehabilitation after complicated trauma, from respiratory problems (like asthma or bronchiectasis) to long-term management of neurological disorders. Common complaints often treated through physiotherapy include: Back pain (including sciatica and postural issues) Upper back and neck pain (including whiplash, headaches) Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow Wrist and finger strains and pains, hyper-mobility Repetitive strain injuries for various reasons - Occupational, habitual or sports related Muscular strains Muscular imbalance and habitual problems Joint stiffness (including arthritis) Joint pains Other sports injuries General low strength or endurance Gait (walking problems) which may unknowingly be occurring from feet, ankles, knees or even hips Sport specific movements or activities that cause pain/discomfort Massage Therapy Massage is a great way of relaxing, increasing circulation, stretching tight muscles, relieving tension and speeding up elimination of toxins amongst many other benefits. You can benefit from massage simply for relaxation, or to treat more specific underlying conditions. Therefore, whether you come along just for a treat or for a specific sprain /strain I will always endeavour to provide feedback/advice on what I have found during the massage - and if requested can provide specific exercises to help prevent further or recurring problems.** ** As this is effectively considered additional treatment/ exercise prescription there will be a subsidised fee of £10 including advice and a personal exercise programme to take away. Follow up treatment sessions will be discussed after the initial assessment and may include specific exercise prescription, use of gym equipment, specific therapeutic massage as well as other physiotherapy specific treatment methods.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage in pregnancy, as at any other time, is a wonderful tool to help relax and revive the mind, body and spirit. Throughout pregnancy babies are very aware of the environment outside the womb and the emotional state of the mother. As well as helping to relieve many of the common minors ailments associated with pregnancy, massage can help the mother, and therefore the baby, remain in a balanced and healthy state physically, mentally and spiritually.

Please note: Women must be three months plus pregnant and medical permission must be obtained prior to the treatment.

Reflexology
