Playgolf Northwick Park – the revolutionary 6-hole Majors golf course and coaching complex in Harrow, London – has appointed a General Manager, Jimmy Wallace.

Wallace has an accomplished career in high-profile sporting events management, having previously worked on the London 2012 Olympic bid team and spent seven years launching and establishing golf’s Asian Tour.

And one of his first successes at Playgolf Northwick Park is the launch of the new Player’s Card membership scheme, which gives holders unlimited golf for just £49 per month.

Members can simply book a round on the 'Majors' course – which features replicas of some of the world’s greatest golf holes, including the Postage Stamp at Troon and famous 12th and 16th at Augusta - then just turn up and play.

And they can collect free driving range balls from reception and return for unlimited refills and spend as long as they like on Playgolf Northwick Park’s world-class Zone short game area, billed as the best golf-improvement area in Britain.

Player’s Card members will receive a free club check, to make sure their equipment is right for their game, a free playing assessment and the opportunity to enter Majors-themed competitions and medals.

And any brand new golfers who want a Player’s Card can join the 'Qualifying School' - a fun, friendly way to learn the skills and simple rules of golf needed before stepping out onto the golf course.

While working for the World Sport Group between 1996 and 2003, Wallace, aged 33, was pivotal in delivering professional tournaments, commercial partnerships and worldwide TV coverage for golf’s Asian Tour.

And as Vice President (Events) he also played a key role in setting up and organising football World Cup and Olympic qualifiers in Asia, the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes and the inaugural China Open professional snooker tournament.

He returned to the UK in 2004 to work on London’s 2012 Olympic bid, developing corporate relationship opportunities for blue-chip companies including BT, British Airways and Virgin.

One of his first priorities at Playgolf Northwick Park has been to launch the new Player’s Card, which immediately struck a chord with golfers in its first four weeks.
