Innovative Middlesex golf complex Playgolf Northwick Park is to be the venue for the first public series of PowerPlay Golf events, in Summer 2007.

The London PowerPlay Golf Championships will run from May to September, and represent the first opportunity for members of the public to try out the new golf format in a competitive environment.

The Championships will take the form of four qualifiers leading to a grand final. The dates announced today are:

• QUALIFIER ROUND 1: Saturday 26 May 2007
• QUALIFIER ROUND 2: Saturday 30 June 2007
• QUALIFIER ROUND 3: Saturday 28 July 2007
• QUALIFIER ROUND 4: Saturday 25 August 2007
  
• GRAND FINAL: Saturday 29 September 2007

The Qualifiers and the Grand Final will be held at Playgolf Northwick Park. There will be a maximum of 48 competitors in each event. Members of Playgolf Northwick Park's 'Players Card' membership scheme will benefit from a 7-day advance booking privilege period.

More details will be available at Stand S26 (Playgolf Northwick Park) at this year's London Golf Show, at the Excel centre in Docklands from 26-29 April 2007.
